Biography

Juniper Briggs - Artists - Pryor Fine Art

Juniper Briggs is a mixed media painter known for abstracted faces and figures that explore the beauty found in everyday moments. Her compositions reflect quiet pauses in daily life—moments of reflection, connection, and simple observation that often go unnoticed.

Briggs grew up in the mountains of North Carolina in a community of working artists, where she was surrounded by potters, painters, and glassblowers. Later travels to Mexico and Spain deepened her interest in global artistic traditions and helped shape her visual language.

Drawing inspiration from cubism and classical figurative art, Briggs creates expressive compositions built through layered acrylic paint and mixed media. Working intuitively, she applies and reworks paint through a process of addition and subtraction, allowing color, shape, and gesture to guide the final composition. The resulting works offer a distinctly feminine perspective on the human experience.

Briggs’s work has appeared on the cover of Art & Edit Magazine and in publications including Elle Canada. She has collaborated with brands such as Framebridge and AllModern, and her work is held in private collections throughout the United States and internationally.
