Lisa Noonis, born in 1963 in York, Maine, grew up in a close-knit Greek American family that instilled values of hard work and independence. Encouraged early on by her art teachers, she pursued a degree in art, communications, and advertising from the University of Maine. After a successful 15-year career in graphic design and marketing, Lisa felt drawn toward more personal creative expression. In 2004, she fully committed to painting, inspired by the works of Cézanne, Modigliani, and Morandi.
Largely self-taught, Lisa’s style has evolved from realism to impressionism, shifting from painting life studies to working from memory on larger canvases. Her work explores the essence of objects, people, and places, and is regularly exhibited in galleries throughout New England and along the East Coast.
