Kathy Taylor’s artistic journey is deeply rooted in healing and spiritual development. Guided by the symbolic presence of the horse, a spirit animal deeply connected to Native American culture, Taylor’s work reflects her personal journey of strength and transformation. The horse, which “chose” her, serves as a powerful symbol throughout her creative exploration.

Born and raised in Southern California during the dynamic 1960s, Taylor credits the era’s bohemian lifestyle and constant change as formative influences in her artistic path. Though she now resides in Phoenix, Arizona, the beaches of Southern California remain her spiritual home.

An intuitive artist, Kathy’s work is driven by gut instinct rather than intellectual process. The recurring imagery of the horse acts as a tool for uncovering deeper issues and untold stories. In addition to her studio practice, Kathy has taught a “Creative Development” mentoring course for over 15 years, nurturing and guiding emerging artists.

Her work has been exhibited in galleries across the Southwest, Pacific Northwest, and Europe, with pieces collected both nationally and internationally.
