Biography

Fabian Jean - Artists - Pryor Fine Art

As Fabian Jean enters the status of a mid-career artist, his work is being recognized by Canadian institutions. In 2022 he was invited to speak at St. Thomas University and a softcover and hardcover monograph on Jean's work with essays and interview has since been published by the university.

Recently, Jean was interviewed and his work was featured for an article in The Toronto Star. A painting, bought by the Canada Council for the Arts, is currently installed in the entry hall at the Centre for Global Pluralism in Ottawa. As well, Jean was formally recognized by the President and Vice-Chancellor of Concordia University (his alma mater) for his excellence and talent. Jean has exhibited at Rideau Hall and was invited to attend the Order of Canada awards ceremony.

Jean’s paintings can be found in public collections, including the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, Canada Art Bank, Department of Foreign Affairs Canada (The Hague Embassy), Royal Bank of Canada and various private collections worldwide.
