Biography

Rhenda Saporito - Artists - Pryor Fine Art

I paint intuitively on paper, panel or canvas. With no regard for the end result, the painting begins to take on a life of its own, painting into and out of chaos. The “out of chaos” is the calming desire for which I strive. The journey may be a rollercoaster of emotions, but I know that there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Struggles are expected but you can have an inner peace and project that onto the canvas. The ultimate goal is an emotional response to the work that is communicated without words. The underlying marks and paint application tells a story. I sometimes wonder how the finished painting came to a resolution.

Biography

Rhenda Saporito is an abstract expressionist painter. Her mixed media paintings are an intuitive application on paper, panel or canvas. With no regard for the end result, the painting begins to take on a life of its own beginning with the first stroke on the canvas. The journey may be a rollercoaster of emotions that ultimately leads her to the finished painting. She reacts to the colors, the marks and the shapes, painting into and out of chaos.

Often asked, “What is it?” “It’s whatever it is to the viewer” Rhenda answers. An emotional response is the ultimate goal.

Rhenda was born in Dallas, Texas but she has spent the last forty years in New Orleans. She paints in New Orleans and Pass Christian, MS

Her abstract paintings are authentic and intuitive expressions of life experiences.
