Linda Stojak, a Guggenheim Award-winning painter, is known for her deeply personal work that explores feminist themes of power, identity, and the female body. Her paintings, often described as "psychological self-portraits," confront the self and the human condition. Critic Michael Amy highlights the "intangible flesh" in her art, while Edward Leffingwell of Art in America praises her work as "formally compelling" and deeply moving.

Stojak’s technique combines sensual, gestural expressionism with conceptual depth. Her figures emerge from contrasting backgrounds, with palette-knife strokes obsessively reworked to create a search for meaning. Her art evokes a profound humanity, offering a powerful visual representation of life itself.

In addition to the Guggenheim Fellowship, Stojak has received a Leeway Grant, a Distinguished Achievement Award from Arcadia University, and a residency in Toblach, Italy. Her work is in over 300 private collections and public institutions like The University of Pennsylvania, Brown University, and The Harn Museum of Art. She is represented by Pryor Fine Art, Stephen Haller Gallery, and LewAllen Galleries.
